In terms of texture, NARS concealers are thicker and stickier, whereas Too Faced’s Born This Way concealers are more fluid and spreadable. It’s maybe a hair darker, but also slightly more neutral. As you can see, Born This Way’s lightest shade – Very Fair – is extremely close to NARS Vanilla. I only wish there were more pale yellows in the range so I could use it all over the rest of my face too! I know I’m not the first person to say this, so hopefully Too Faced hears this collective prayer and expands the range to include more colours soon.īonus Round: A friend asked how these compare to NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer s, and I thought I’d share my answer with the class. I definitely got some good coverage out of this, and once I set it with a bit of powder it wore all day without creasing. Talk about perfect timing, right? So I took the opportunity to do a comparison photo…I think you can tell which side has concealer and which side doesn’t. I don’t usually get dark circles, but I had the tiniest bit of dairy yesterday and was rewarded with lovely red discolouration under my eyes this morning. And did I mention it set and looked perfect all day without creasing or fading? Now THAT’S a good under-eye formula. I have to admit I was kind of expecting it to ball up or look really dry and cakey, but lo and behold! The second layer went on as well as the first without disturbing any of the underlying layers. Just to see how buildable it was, I powdered lightly over my first layer and dabbed more on. It felt very light on my skin, and melted in seamlessly. I used Born This Way Concealer in Light under my eyes here and was very impressed by how easy it was to blend. Nowhere in my press kit did it say they were specifically designed for the under-eye area, but you can kinda tell from its consistency and active ingredients that that’s where you want to be using ’em.Īlso, the lighter end of the concealers’ shade range is quite pink/peach, which is excellent for neutralizing under-eye darkness and for overall brightening. They’re very pigmented but have a light, fluid consistency which makes them very blendable. The Born This Way Concealer texture is excellent. If you haven’t heard the chatter, this stuff has some really impressive skincare sciencey-ness going on: coconut water for moisture, alpine rose for radiance and – this is what I’m most excited about – hyaluronic acid for plumping. And it’s here! It’s finally here! They launch today on Sephora.sg, and on the 18th (Thursday) in Sephora stores around Singapore. Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer has been raved about in so many reviews since its US launch, that I’ve been watching the calendar like a hawk awaiting the Singapore launch. *GIVEAWAY ALERT!
